Hi, I’m Nick Praulins.
Content strategy and facilitation for growing brands.
What I do
Your messaging project is stuck because no one wants the conversation that would unstick it.
I run that conversation. Then I manage the content until it's done.
Most strategists deliver frameworks and disappear. Most facilitators don't manage execution. I do both. You get alignment and finished work, not theory.
My services
Strategic Alignment & Facilitation
Workshops and structured conversations that extract clarity from competing perspectives. I facilitate positioning discussions and stakeholder alignment where internal politics need navigation.
Content Strategy & Management
Project-based content leadership for rebrands, launches, or scaling phases. I manage editorial strategy, production, and messaging consistency across channels.
Messaging Frameworks & Systems
Narrative architecture, messaging guidelines, tone documentation, content processes. Built collaboratively, validated through real production.
What you get
-
Messaging that sounds human. I favour refinement over jargon, authenticity over sales language.
-
I'm comfortable managing difficult conversations and extracting decisions from competing perspectives.
-
Frameworks built collaboratively and tested through real content. Not filed-away PDFs.
-
I manage production, maintain consistency, and deliver what I commit to.
Who I work with
You're probably a good fit if:
Your internal teams aren't aligned on positioning. You need someone to facilitate those conversations and manage the content that comes out of them.
You're scaling and your messaging isn't holding together. What worked at 20 people doesn't work at 50. Different teams are telling different versions of your story.
You have multiple audiences with competing needs. B2B and B2C. Internal and external. Investors and customers. You need messaging that works across all of them without falling apart.
You're in education, social impact, or purpose-led work where authentic communication actually matters, not just marketing polish.

How I work
Most projects run 8 to 12 weeks:
Discovery → Facilitation & Strategy → Content Production → Rollout Support
We build the strategy collaboratively with your team through interviews and workshops. If alignment is the issue, we run structured sessions to extract clarity from competing perspectives. I either write the content myself or manage your team to produce it, ensuring the strategy translates into usable systems. I stay involved through the first month of activation to make sure it sticks.
I work with one or two clients at a time so I can stay properly engaged.
About me
I'm drawn to organisations that are learning, iterating, growing.
I'm Nick, and I help companies figure out what they're actually saying and make sure everyone says it the same way. I spent eight years leading a school before moving into communication strategy.
Running a school taught me that growth is messy. You're constantly translating vision into practice, aligning people who see things differently, and building systems that help everyone move in the same direction. That's exactly what happens in growing brands. The story isn't fixed yet; it's forming. That's the stage I care about. When the words you choose actually shape what you become.
I'm Australian, have worked across South Africa, Germany, and Switzerland, and now operate from Stockholm where I split time between client work and co-founding Let's Be Real, a mental health initiative for schools.
Outside work you'll find me doing HYROX training, or exploring the Stockholm archipelago.

AI, language & judgement
Large language models are becoming powerful partners in thinking and drafting, and used well, they can meaningfully support communication work. They surface patterns, accelerate iteration, and help teams explore ideas more efficiently.
At the same time, organisational communication depends on nuance that current AI systems can’t yet reliably discern: shifting sentiment, unspoken context, tone, timing, and power dynamics.
I use AI as a thought partner, not a substitute for human judgement, combining its strengths with editorial care and contextual awareness to ensure communication remains accurate, appropriate, trustworthy, and human.

FAQs

Agencies give you a strategy deck and beautiful brand guidelines. Then they leave. You're stuck figuring out how to actually implement it whilst your internal teams quietly ignore the new messaging framework.
I stay through execution. I facilitate the internal alignment, manage content production, and ensure what gets delivered actually gets used. You get strategy and implementation, not just theory.
-
It means getting your stakeholders in a room and running the conversation they've been avoiding. The one where the founder, the marketing lead, and the commercial team discover they have fundamentally different views on positioning.
I surface that disagreement, hold the tension, and get you to decisions. Two hours of difficult conversation beats six months of polite emails.

Most projects run 8 to 12 weeks. Discovery, facilitated alignment, content production, rollout support.
If your project has been dragging for months, it's usually because no one's forcing the difficult conversations or managing execution. I do both, so things move.
-
I do both. I either write it myself or manage your team to produce it. Either way, I'm overseeing quality and maintaining consistency.
Strategy without execution management is just expensive documentation. I'm not interested in delivering frameworks that live in folders.

Running a school means facilitating conversations where parents, teachers, and board members all have competing priorities. You learn how to navigate disagreement, manage group dynamics, and build systems that work under pressure.
That translates directly to brand work. Most companies struggle with messaging because they haven't aligned internally. I know how to get people aligned.
-
If you just need someone to execute work you've already figured out, I'm probably overqualified and expensive.
If you want a brand consultant who'll tell you what your positioning should be without involving your team, I'm not your person. I work collaboratively.
If your timeline is less than six weeks, we probably can't do this properly.

Your messaging project is stuck on draft eight. The problem isn't the strategy. It's the conversation you're avoiding. Multiple stakeholders, multiple different worldviews, trying to reconcile through document edits.
