How I work

Most projects run 6 to 10 weeks:

Discovery → Narrative Development → Alignment Workshop → Rollout Support

I'm Nick, and I help startups and emerging brands figure out what they're actually saying and make sure everyone says it the same way.

I spent 8 years leading a school before moving into communication strategy. Running a school taught me that growth is messy. You're constantly translating vision into practice, aligning people who see things differently, and building systems that help everyone move in the same direction. That's exactly what happens in startups and emerging brands. The story isn't fixed yet; it's forming. That's the stage I care about. When the words you choose actually shape what you become.

Large language models are becoming powerful partners in thinking and drafting, and used well, they can meaningfully support communication work. They surface patterns, accelerate iteration, and help teams explore ideas more efficiently.

At the same time, organisational communication depends on nuance that current AI systems can’t yet reliably discern: shifting sentiment, unspoken context, tone, timing, and power dynamics.

I use AI as a thought partner, not a substitute for human judgement, combining its strengths with editorial care and contextual awareness to ensure communication remains accurate, appropriate, trustworthy, and human.

  • Most projects run 6 to 10 weeks from kickoff to activation, depending on complexity and organisational size.

  • Projects are scoped individually based on your company size and needs. Most communication strategy projects fall in the €10,000 to €25,000 range. I work on fixed project fees so you know exactly what you're committing to upfront.

  • Yes, primarily. I'm based in Stockholm and work across Europe, travelling for key workshops and launch moments when helpful.

  • Initial interviews take 30 to 60 minutes per person. The main time commitment is the alignment workshop (half day with leadership team). Beyond that, most work happens on my side with periodic check ins and reviews.

  • Both. Sometimes I work independently, sometimes alongside your internal team or external agency. I'm comfortable in either setup.

  • Most of my work has been with companies in DACH and Nordic markets, across B2B, B2C, and emerging brand contexts. If you're in a different sector or region, let's discuss fit. The principles of clear communication translate, but context matters.
