NickPraulinsLearning designer and facilitator

Learning, communication and the occasional good idea.

I’m a Stockholm-based learning strategist, facilitator and educational consultant working across education, organisations and communication.

For almost twenty years, my work has focused on how people learn, how organisations communicate and how ideas become practice. I’ve worked across Australia, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden as a teacher, school leader, learning designer, content strategist and facilitator.

Today, I co-lead The Nordic Learning Company and continue to work selectively with organisations on learning, communication and content strategy.

The Nordic Learning Company

I’m co-founder of The Nordic Learning Company, a Stockholm-based learning organisation working with schools, educators, leaders and organisations across Europe.

We design and facilitate professional learning, leadership development and learning experiences informed by research and pan-Nordic educational practices.

My work there spans learning strategy, programme design, educational consulting and facilitation. It brings together almost twenty years in education and school leadership with my later work in communication, content and organisational learning.

Twenty years across education, leadership and learning design

I started teaching in Australia in 2006.

Since then, my work has taken me through schools and organisations in Australia, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.

I’ve worked in classroom teaching, instructional design, eLearning, marketing, and school leadership. I later spent seven years as Head of Primary at Phorms Frankfurt City Campus, alongside a period with regional responsibility across three schools.

Those years gave me a practical education in how organisations actually work: how people respond to change, how culture develops, where communication breaks down and how systems affect the people working inside them.

Alongside education, I kept moving into communication and design. I worked in instructional design in South Africa, led school marketing, and later moved into content strategy and strategic brand communication with JobCloud in Switzerland.

Today those areas no longer feel separate. They inform how I design learning, facilitate groups, advise organisations and shape communication.
